Our family has moved onto our 55 foot Grand Banks Alaskan boat for the summer to set off for new adventures within the Salish Sea. Vikki, Jeff, Ian and our two cats have moved onto to our boat and we plan to travel about the Salish Sea to hunt up new adventures and life forms. We intend to share our experiences as access allows with all your arm chair travelers. Keep checking to see what we are up to next.
Today we have been getting the boat ready for a week shakedown trip through the San Juan's. The davit (crane) we use to raise and lower the dinghy had to be rewired and retrofitted to accommodate our new dinghy. This is very important as we will be anchoring offshore at most locations the dinghy is our only way to shore. Hopefully we will have it under control for take off tomorrow.
